Anass Hattam is a passionate social entrepreneur, graphic designer, lifetime learner and filmmaker from Morocco, who enjoys telling stories through short movies. His educational background is in graphic design and social innovation.

Anass always wanted a career where he would have a positive impact on society, and social entrepreneurship allowed him to do that. He likes the independence that goes with it, how he needs to be creative in solving problems, and the satisfaction of achieving goals that he knows have social benefits.

He became a social entrepreneur, because he wanted to take action to fix the things that bothered him, not just complain about them also because of his awareness that understanding the needs of the citizens means making more sustainable decisions.

In investigating what he can do for this purpose, he created QUATY App. It will give the citizens the power to make positive changes in their communities, all that by letting them communicate their city solutions and ideas with politicians and real estate developers. Studies show that the highest trend in smart cities for the next years is citizen engagement, and people still feel a sense of commitment to their cities and are actively involved in activities to improve the quality of life there. Anass’ passion is unlocking the huge creative and societal power of innovators and city leaderships to see the city as their playground and workspace for developing talent whether entrepreneurial, organizational or creative.

With his App QUATY, Anass Hattam was selected as one of our 22 finalists of the MENA Innovation Challenge in 2020.
