Marwan Ibrahim is a Civil and Environmental Engineer from Sudan, with a specialty in facilities management and maintenance. He is the Co-Founder and CEO of FacilitiEx, an e-commerce startup that provides on-site facilities management, from building material to construction and maintenance services, for real estate owners. Their clients include hotels, restaurants, offices and homeowners. The startup won MTN Sudan’s Business Clinic Startup competition in 2018 and was selected among the top 24 entrants in the British Council’s Mashrouy Competition for startups in the same year. Also in 2018, FacilitiEx came in the top five runners in the Global Entrepreneurship Week Sudan Get in the Ring competition. FacilitiEx collaborates with skilled workers and suppliers to save money and time for customers looking for facility-related services. FacilitiEx also exhibited in the UNDP’s Accelerator Lab Solutions Fair in 2020.

Marwan is passionate about augmenting people’s spatial experiences- where they live, work, or play. Before he found his own company, Marwan worked as a civil engineer in the Khartoum International Airport and headed the Business Development department at Build Time Engineering- the local associate to Alpha Mead Facilities (a leading facilities management company in Africa) and the local supplier of SITA aero company (a global air transport communications and IT services company). After FacilitiEx, Marwan took part in the UN’s Youth Development Programme in 2019 and now runs the company as CEO.
