Eman Jaradat is the MENA Region Program Officer at Community Media Solutions, a non-profit organization working on media development, freedom of expression and community broadcasting. She is currently supporting the regional Aswatona Network of community media and working closely with the National Community Radio Association in Tunisia. She is also a co-founder at the Jordan Open Source Association with a special involvement on digital rights and free culture. She is a media producer and previously worked as a new media specialist for the local community radio station in Amman Radio Al Balad. Jaradat has a BSc in computer science from the University of Jordan, and a postgraduate diploma in social innovation in a digital context from Lund University in Sweden and she is an MIT Media Lab Director’s Fellow Alum.
